Process Development Engineer

Provide engineering support to the Chemical Processes Technology Team and research, development, testing, and evaluation support in the area of chemical energy (petrochemical, hydrogen fuels), systems engineering, and waste-to energy-processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering or Chemistry
• 5 years’ work experience in chemical process R&D setting
• 5 years’ experience authoring technical proposals and reports
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with a cross functional group of technical, professional, and managerial R&D staff
• U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
• Business development and/or technology marketing and outreach experience
• Ph.D. in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry
• 5+ years’ experience with federal government contracting
• 3+ years’ experience with Chemical or liquid fuels processing R&D
• 3+ years’ experience with Chemical process design
• 5+ years’ Experience with control Systems and programming
• Experience with ASPEN
• 5+ years of experience leading innovation initiatives, which could include product development, quality improvement, cost improvement, technology validation and process optimization
