Quality Assurance Engineer Intern
We are looking for motivated college students to join our highly-skilled team of Quality Assurance Engineers for an exciting summer internship opportunity at our Mt. Vernon, IN location!
At BWXT, our interns perform challenging tasks in their field of study while developing and delivering unique Quality Assurance and Inspection solutions used in a nuclear environment. Our interns work collaboratively as part of our Quality team to create and update inspection plans, assist with product Dimensional Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing, perform records verifications, and assist with receipt inspection of product and raw materials. BWXT offers paid internships along with a housing stipend for those interns whose home of record is more than 50 miles from Mt. Vernon. Internships will last approximately 10-12 weeks. At the end of the internship, each intern has the opportunity to present their completed work/ assigned projects to the team.
Successful candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor�s degree program and working toward a major in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or a similar technical course of study. Additionally, students must be at a sophomore standing or above at the time the internship begins and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Knowledge of blueprint reading and/or Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.
U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship is required for this position.
