Cabot Microelectronics Corporation (CMC) is searching for a Quality Analyst to join the team in Aurora, IL.
The Quality Analyst will improve existing quality software applications, drive improvement in legacy data collection and reporting systems, analyze and summarizing product data and support other customer documentation requests across our Pads, Slurries, and Electronic Chemicals product lines.

The successful candidate will need to have coding experience, knowledge of statistical techniques and tools, good interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams and be innovative and bold in their approach to problem solving.

The key responsibilities of the Quality Analyst are:
  • Serve as administrator for CMC’s Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) application, EtQ Reliance
  • Provide development, support and enhancement of EtQ Reliance modules using the native software Designer and coding (Python, Java, SQL)
  • Liaison with internal partners to understand evolving business needs and translate those opportunities to improved work flows that fully demonstrate the value contribution of Reliance
  • Support and drive improvement in quality data access and reporting using EtQ Reliance, Power BI and other legacy applications
  • Assist Customer Quality team with analytics, data analysis or other reporting needs, including Out of Control Action Plans, quality-related surveys and questionnaires from customers
  • Drive improvement in Customer Scorecard collection and analysis with the Customer Quality Engineering group.

Requirements for Success in the Role:
Technical:
  • Proficient skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Software coding (Python, Java, SQL preferred).
  • Statistical knowledge and systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience working with EtQ Reliance & Power BI a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Access, statistical software and LIMS a plus.
  • Background related to SPC, process control, experience with manufacturing and quality systems a plus.
  • Experience with wafer fab or wafer fab materials suppliers or Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) a plus.

Business:

  • Communication and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrate initiative, leadership, influence and teamwork.

Education – B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field;

Travel – Limited.
