WS Tyler is actively seeking a highly motivated Engineering Students for employment in Mentor, OH. We are seeking candidates who have initiative and want to make an impact. You will make meaningfully contributions to projects during your time here, developing the skills you need for future success.
We have an active project this year embracing automated welding in manufacturing. We are seeking a Co-Op to take an active role in the design and integration of our future welding stations. The intern will primarily work with CAD , communicate with equipment suppliers and collaborate with the lead engineer for hands-on integration on the manufacturing floor.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- CAD Design in Creo 6
- Assist the lead engineer in developing weld schedules
- Assist the lead engineer in preparation of planning documents.
- Collaborate with outside suppliers for costing and procurement
Who We’re Looking For:
- Students pursuing a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical degree
- US Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in 3D modeling and design (Solidworks, Creo or equivalent)
- Experience with PLC programming and ladder logic
- Experience with ASTM testing or other materials or welding evaluations
