Industrial Engineering Intern

Position Responsibilities
Analysis of Kanban process
Time studies of various operator tasks within the raw material work flow
Participate/Lead Kaizen event
Identify process improvement opportunities
Review/develop standard work where need is identified
Special projects as identified by Engineering & Supply Chain teams
 
Knowledge and Experience
 
Microsoft Office Suite - proficient user, emphasis on Excel (Minitab is a plus)
Interest in process design, material flow, production equipment, work methods, and processes (mechanical aptitude/some hands-on experience is a plus)
 Ability to work within a cross functional, multi-cultural team
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize work efficiently
Demonstrated leadership skills
Process oriented thinker
 
Education and Certification
 
Actively enrolled as a junior status, but rising senior is preferred.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Human Factors Engineering or Operations Research with Logistics and Supply Chain focus.
