Technical Service Solutions Manager - Industrial Automation

Our Rolling Meadows, IL office is seeking an ambitious Technical Service Applications Manager, known internally as a Service Solutions Manager. This position requires a high-caliber Commercial Service Leader to provide leadership on development and capture of front-end (FE) opportunities within our customer’s asset base.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Responsible for bookings forecast, pipeline management and exceeding bookings plan.
  • Point of contact for Global Services on the FE to ensure alignment with multi-segment process and procedures.
  • Ensures their team is utilizing available technologies to maximize efficiency and opportunities.
  • Implements talent management practices for their team.
  • Delivers effective pipeline reviews with their team, global colleagues and supervisors.
  • Division’s after-sales point of contact for Account Capture Calls.
  • Provide interventions to ensure continuous performance improvements in our front-end execution that deepens our returns from customers.
  • Provide critical input in the development and closing of major opportunities; this may require occasional travel.
  • Develops and delivers solutions based on customer’s needs; ensures that proposals are delivered to margin expectations.
  • Manages the day to day customer activities and interactions of the Rolling Meadows SME Team
  • Schedule monthly program reviews with the customer to review system performance, manage customer feedback and update them on open issues; initiate agreed actions.
  • Leverages CAPEX in production, FAT and SAT to promote/sell additional services.
  • Articulates the value proposition of ATS Services to colleagues, customers and industry contacts.
  • Document and relay customer feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Sales or Business Management or equivalent experience - MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Commercial or Sales leadership position, in a technical capacity in the Industrial Automation or Manufacturing Industries.
  • Experience uncovering and delivering added-value solutions to customers.
  • Self-driven, creative, resourceful and goal-orientated.
  • Fluent in English, written and oral.
  • Experienced in the use of a CRM and understands its importance.
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook.
  • Must possess a valid passport (or be able to obtain one) for periodic travel outside of the United States.
