Real World Responsibilities:
During your time with us you will:
· Learn how to create layouts, time studies, and process documentation in the distribution facility to assist with essentially creating a mini assembly line to do machine reconfiguration on staged machines before shipping
· Support startup operations of new product lines and provide daily engineering support for existing product lines
· Problem-solve issues on the line causing production delays and utilize lean concepts to make improvements
As part of our team we will:
· Provide you with real-work assignments that will provide you valuable experience as you begin your career
Must haves:
· Currently pursuing an ABET accredited degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field
· Ability to work full-time during summer months (approximately 12 weeks)
· Desire to work in a hands-on work environment in a manufacturing plant
· Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
· Ability to work in a team environment
Nice to haves:
· Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and goals
· Positive and energetic
· Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects at one time, and/or project management experience
· Attention to detail and accuracy
