Supply Chain Intern

The Bon Secours Mercy Health Internship Program is a paid 10-12 week, immersive program that will expose students to the healthcare industry while also giving them the skills and experience needed to build a future career. The program also features additional opportunities for mentorship, networking, career & professional development, community service, job shadowing, and exposure to senior and executive leaders. Interns will work under the direction of Supply Chain leadership by assisting the assigned team with various special projects.
 
Location: Home Office in Cincinnati, OH and Toledo, OH
 
Dates: Monday, May 18th, 2020 - Friday, August 7th, 2020
 
Hours: 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks
 
Responsibilities:
·       Clinical Integration – support supply chain needs for clinical practices
·       Procure to Pay – support transactional supply chain work, procurement to accounts payable, workflow, design optimization
·       Technology – support Enterprise Resource Planning and supplychain development partner for Workday integration
·       Operations – assist with physical logistics, warehousing, distribution, and financial management
·       Pharmacy – support pharmacy supply chain logistics, operations, and procurement
·       Sourcing – assist with sourcing and managing products/services and communicating with end-users
 
Qualifications:
·       Currently pursuing a degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, Economics, Analytics/Statistics, Communications, Information Technology/Computer Science/Technology-related, Pharmacy
·       Strong service orientation
·       Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of accountability
·       Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – specifically Excel and PowerPoint
·       Good communication and interpersonal skills
·       Must be self-motivated, capable of taking initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing priorities, and effectively manage deadlines
·       Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and have strong rapport with the leaders and colleagues
·       Ability to work independently
·       Strong time management and organization skills
·       Desire to pursue a full-time career in Supply Chain
·       Junior/Senior preferred
