Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to work in our Masstron Manufacturing Facility on Huntley Road in Columbus. Within this role, you will:
- Create CAD drawings for standard and customized products using Creo
- Process engineering documentation for the vehicle and/or floor scale product lines (drawings, bills of materials, routings)
- Conduct testing of vehicle and floor scale products
- Provide engineering research, assist in the analysis of data and provide technical assistance to the responsible engineers related to the vehicle and floor scale product lines
- Support local project management efforts
- Create and update documentation for engineering standard work
- Cost analysis for existing products and/or development projects
- Assist the manufacturing and quality departments with engineering related inquiries
What You Need to Succeed
- Proficient in the use of CAD (preferably Creo)
- Self-starter that has the ability to perform assigned tasks and complete work on schedule with minimal supervision
- Eagerness to learn and accept challenges
- Task oriented and is able to handle multiple assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Pursuing Engineering degree (preferably ME)
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills with a strong mechanical aptitude
- Hands on approach
- Strong computer skills (MS products)
- Sophomore in college or above
