Supply Chain Compliance Co-Op - January - May 2020 (Flexible start & end dates)
Lake Shore Cryotronics is an international leader in developing innovative measurement and control solutions, primarily for scientific applications. Our equipment is often used to characterize physical properties of early stage electronic and magnetic materials.
As a Supply Chain Compliance Intern on our Supply Chain team at Lake Shore, you will contribute to the process of exporting manufacturing and resold good from Lake Shore.
Primary Duties Include:
- Interacting with multiple Lake Shore departments such as Corporate Compliance, Product Development, Sales, and IT
- Review and update supplier compliance data to include-
- material composition and documentation of that composition of component parts (RoHS),
- Origin of certain raw materials used in those parts (Conflict Minerals)
- Country of Origin determination for all items sold overseas, whether they are manufactured in the United States or elsewhere (for Free Trade Agreement documents and FAR/DFAR Buy American Clause Compliance for US Government contracting.)
- Supplier Consolidation on purchased parts. Benefits of supplier consolidation is reduced cost, increased service, support and improved quality from our suppliers.
- Support implementation of Supplier Portal within Epicor software.
- Managing records in our ERP
Qualifiers:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Integrated Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, International Business, or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0+
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
