Industrial Engineer

This New Customer Engagement (NCE) Industrial Engineer, while working with the customer, NCE, ETC, and SMC personnel, will establish optimized manufacturing processes, transfer customer product and process requirements, and transition customer product manufacturing to Mt. Pleasant, WI site. Their expertise, and experience in manufacturing methodologies, applied across various product types, spanning multiple industries, will ensure flawless delivery of NCE customer products, that meet capacity, and a high level of quality, contributing to the success of the organization.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develops standard procedures by studying customer assembly instructions, control plans, test procedures, blueprint specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
  • Design & develop factory layouts for new facilities, through collaboration with NCE Customer and FII-USA Manufacturing & Operations (Maximize efficiency to increase capacity, minimize cost).
  • Drive lean manufacturing and industrial engineering projects with customer and internal engineering counterparts (Process cycle time vs tact time, process & quality requirements for maximum efficiency).
  • Develops work instruction, standard operating procedures, other specifications in cooperation with Wisconsin Manufacturing & Operations.
  • Interfaces with customer's technical, service and ops organization to evaluate an assembly or product to be manufactured in Wisconsin operations.
  • Develop template that standardizes required deliverables, i.e. drawings, specifications, process flow chart, SOP, etc., that will ensure proper transfer of manufacturing information from NCE Customer to FII-USA Manufacturing & Operations to improve organizational work flow.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Review and work with NCE customers to create, refine, and document manufacturing and test processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues with processes, identify root cause and recommend countermeasures with internal FII-USA Manufacturing and NCE Customers
  • Collaborate across NCE Groups to establish best manufacturing practices, component specifications, and quality/regulatory requirements.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Ideal Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • Manufacturing experience in low mix/high volume and high mix/low volume environments,
  • Experience across automotive, medical, and consumer product industry a plus.
  • Experience in machine manufacturing a plus.
  • Problem Solving Ability, Quality Focus, Good Judgment, Decision Making, DFM Methodologies, Good Engineering Practices, Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred, but training and working knowledge acceptable.
  • DFMEA/PFMEA experience a plus.
  • Autocad or similar CAD software experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • MS Office and Project preferred.
