HPC Application Engineer

We are seeking an HPC Application Engineer to support the initiatives of Foxconn Industrial Internet (Fii) as they look to reinforce their leading position in the HPC server manufacturing space. Foxconn has a long history of manufacturing servers and network appliances for the IT and Data Center industry and is evolving to become a complete supplier of entire cloud-based solutions.
We are seeking talented individuals who will train on and perform the following tasks:
- Candidates should will be trained to be a technical domain expert, with an emphasis on in-depth knowledge of HPC/AI solutions in the cloud.
- Work to ensure success in designing, building and migrating applications, software, and services on the HPC platform
- Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on HPC/AI platform while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the Fii HPC solutions architect community
Preferred Qualifications include;
- A Bachelor of Science and some prior related experience, or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical discipline (Degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Machine Learning, is desired)
- 1+ years hands-on experience on designing/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
- 1+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, AL/ML/DL framework, AI/HPC applications
- 1+ years of customer-facing experience, preferably interfacing with senior technical roles
- 1+ years of experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or technical consulting
- Technical degree required; Computer Science, bioinformatics, MD or Math background desired
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
- Good understanding of HPC, schedulers(Slurm/LSF/PBS), MPI, CUDA programming
- High level understanding of deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc.
- Familiar with web frameworks and databases
