Halal Certification Reviewer / Technical Reviewer
Position Overview: Halal Transactions of Omaha (HTO) is looking for a driven, team-oriented individual who is looking to build a long-term, stable career in a rapidly growing company and sector.
Position functions include the following (on the job training will be provided):
- Inspecting materials, ingredients, and product datasheets for conformity with Halal and technical requirements and keeping up with the latest requirements and standards;
- Planning audits, reviewing audit results, and summation of audit reports;
- Presentation of audit reports to specialized committees;
- Communication with clients about audit cycle planning and maintenance;
- Minimal travel is required for this position. Travel will primarily be to industry shows in the U.S & abroad. Occasional travel to client facilities is a possibility.
Qualification requirements:
Education: Completed BS degree or higher in any of the following fields: biology, animal science, marine biology, veterinary science, veterinary medicine, food processing, food science, meat science, poultry science, agricultural science, nutritional science, pharmacology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. Prior experience in your field is a plus but is not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Required Attributes/Skills:
Cooperative, loyal, and highly motivated team player with good inter-personal, organizational, and time-management skills. Basic computer literacy required (typing skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc.). Professionalism is required.
