Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Summer Opportunities)

SUMMARY:
Do you enjoy applying creative or innovative solutions to technical problems? Are you someone who likes to take a hands-on approach and see solutions put into design? Oshkosh Corporation is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2020!   • Hagerstown, MD
  • McConnellsburg, PA
  • Shippensburg, PA
  • Oshkosh, WI
  • Appleton, WI
  • Dodge Center, MN

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
Assist the Manufacturing Engineering department in successful achieving manufacturing goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials
  • Improve material handling methods
  • Perform time studies
  • Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes
  • Perform work station/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality
  • Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
  • Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related field throughout the entire duration of internship
  • Cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or above

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
  • Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of design for manufacturing concepts
  • Strong analytical reasoning or problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment
  • Experience using CATIA, 2D & 3D CAD software
  • Experience in welding, machining or fabrication
