Assessment Manager, Integrated Pharmacy Curriculum

JOB OVERVIEW
The Assessment Manager uses advanced professional concepts and organizational objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Applies full understanding of internal and external policies and procedures, exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Involves oversight and activities associated with supporting strategic planning and decision making of the Assessment Plan (Program and Education) through the analysis, presentation, and distribution of curriculum related research data. Includes planning and analytical studies, assessment, and reporting on data related to the School of Pharmacy’ (SOP’) curriculum. May be involved with compliance with informational requests from external agencies such as the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

The Assessment Manager will be part of the Assessment Team and will facilitate and coordinate the team’s goals and objectives as an administrative checks-and-balances for the curriculum.

Has understanding of Educational analysis, more specifically curriculum related matters. Manages professional level staff and projects within an Assessment Unit and assumes responsibility for the quality and quantity of the professional level staff and workload. Ensures appropriate staffs have Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) training. Develops project plans and staffing / financial needs to complete them.

This position / Assessment Unit is part of the Dean’s Office. The Dean’s Office functions as control point for the School of Pharmacy as well as serves to provide functional units in supporting our Pharm D education: Assessment, Student Curricular Affairs, Educational Instructional Services, Communications, and Administration.
