SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the Pharmacy program under the medical benefit plan of Beaumont Health. This position interacts daily with the PBM, physicians, members as well as the Beaumont domestic pharmacies. This position manages the BHEHP Formulary and confers with the clinical team regarding infused drugs on the medical side. Responsible for reporting, invoice payments, approving overrides, PAs for biologicals as well as other pharmacy-related activities. 

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

A.   Education / Training: Requires a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) from an accredited school. Current NAPLEX Licensure is required.

B.   Work Experience: Requires a minimum three years' Pharmacy operations experience in a pharmaceutical environment. Managed Care Pharmacy experience preferred and experience with 340b drug purchasing program is desired.

C.   Certification, Licensure, Registration:

D.   Other Qualifications: Requires the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with members of Pharmacy management, professional and technical staff, vendors and others. Requires a high level of organizational and analytical skills to maintain standards of accuracy and knowledge of 340b drug program regulations. Ability to perform audits, recognize and report trends. Requires computer proficiency, relational database experience. Knowledge of vendor based electronic order systems, Microsoft Office Software (word, excel, access), ability to generate a variety of statistical and other data reports.
