Under administrative direction:
  • Conducts research on clinical and drug related topics as well as analysis of BWC drug utilization data, participates in clinical review of Prior Authorization (PA) and Drug Utilization Review (DUR) processes;
  • Assists pharmacy management staff in preparation for Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee (P&T) meetings as well as other public speaking engagements or meetings;
  • May be assigned to present assigned research topics to P&T Committee or other BWC committees and staff; 
  • Provides clinical and drug related information to injured workers and BWC staff;
  • Provides research support to pharmacy staff in their preparation for meetings or public speaking engagements; 
  • Assists in auditing and data analytics; will interact with the external customers, internal staff, Pharmacy Benefits Vendor, Manage Care Organizations, and physician reviewers on an ongoing basis;
  • Creates & maintains files; 
  • Drafts internal correspondence; 
  • Performs general &/or clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 
This position requires a current Pharmacy Intern Registration card issued by the Ohio State Board Of Pharmacy.  

Preference will be given to candidates in their first year of the pharmacy graduate program and can work year-round for the duration of their pharmacy program.

The recommended candidate will be required to provide proof of enrollment in at least one course at an accredited universiity.
