The Medication Management Program (MMP), in collaboration with SinfoníaRx, provides telehealth ambulatory care pharmacy services bringing pharmacist-provided patient care directly into the patient’s home.We contract with Medicare,Medicaid and commercial insurers to focus on improving treatment outcomes. Exciting growth in this fieldnowenables ustotouch1 in 7Americanlives.
As an MMP Intern you will:
o Prepare yourself for provider status by building your patient care skills
o Developasanambulatory carepharmacistandpatient educator of chronic disease
o Develop skills to prepare for P&T competitions
o Practice identifying drug-drug and drug-disease interactions with appropriate follow-up
o Improve your patient communication skills
o Improve your documentation skills
o Practice applying guidelines to patients
o Build skills thatwill help you excel in your current classes
As an MMP Intern you will gain:
o Excellent preparation for APPE rotations
o Experience in an innovative practice setting to stand out as a residency candidate
o Relationships through networking leading to careers in a managed care setting
o Getcomfortablecounselingupto20patientsdaily
o Relationships with pharmacists with a variety of backgrounds
o Salaries range from $14-$17/hr
