Pharmacy Intern - FEP Clinical

Job Description

PBM setting for a large client with a large prior approval program, a sophisticated MTM service, a pharmacy fraud waste and abuse program, and a clinical consultative services team. 

"The internship will provide experience within three to four of the different clinical departments of the FEP program; prior approval, PCARE, MQA, and Consultative Services. 
The collaborative purpose of these experiences is to assure that the intern develops the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values (KSAVs) needed to obtain the competencies required for making professional judgments and actions that ensure positive patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications
*Availability to work full time for duration of the 10 week program: June 3rd-August 10th.

Preferred Qualifications
-Pharmacy knowledge
-Strong clinical and analytic background on specialty medications such as cancer medications, PAH medications, growth hormones, Hep C medications, immune globulins
-PC literacy
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Experience with pharmacy intervention programs and drug utilization review. 
-Excellent interpersonal skills, 
-Demonstrated problems solving ability and attention to detail
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment with great dependability

Education
*Candidates must be enrolled in a Pharmacy Program with an expected graduation date of Spring 2020
