Entry-Level Network Operations (NOC) Engineer

The Opportunity

Dev10 is hiring a team of early-career technologists to train together and join the Network Operations Center team of an energy company in Charlotte, NC. This client is building an internal, U.S.-based Network Operations Center team and is looking for people who want to grow specifically as NOC Engineers.

You do not need to begin as an experienced NOC Engineer. Dev10 provides six weeks of paid, role-specific training before you begin the position. You will join Dev10 as a full-time employee, complete six weeks of paid role-specific training, and transition into a 100% in-person NOC Engineer role at the client’s Charlotte office.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, communicates clearly, takes ownership, and is interested in networks, infrastructure, and operational support.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor network and technology environments for outages, alerts, and service interruptions
  • Investigate issues, gather information, document findings, and follow established response procedures
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and escalate issues to the appropriate technical resources
  • Help coordinate support through service restoration and follow-up
  • Learn the client’s tools, systems, operating procedures, and network environment
  • Contribute to a new Charlotte-based NOC team being built for long-term growth

Paid Training: Your First Six Weeks

  • Weeks 1–4: Dev10 training on network operations and CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Weeks 5–6: Client-led training on company’s systems, tools, processes, and operating environment
  • Week 7: Begin as a NOC Engineer at the client’s Charlotte office

Training is the first phase of your full-time employment with Dev10. You will be paid while building the technical and professional skills needed for the role.

What We Are Looking For

  • A clear interest in building a long-term career in network operations
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized, follow through, and communicate effectively when issues arise
  • Willingness to learn quickly, receive feedback, and work collaboratively with a cohort and client team
  • Ability to work 100% in person in Charlotte, NC
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Atlanta or Nashville if needed

Important Location Information

This is a client-specific role located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates outside Charlotte may apply, but they must be willing and able to relocate themselves before the in-person portion begins. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

What Dev10 Offers

  • Full-time W-2 employment with Dev10 beginning on the first day of training
  • Paid training at $600 per week
  • After starting with the client: $24.04/hour ($50,000 annual equivalent)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and paid time off
  • Ongoing guidance and career development support from a Dev10 Manager
  • Access to a nationwide professional network of Dev10 Associates and alumni
  • A defined path to build hands-on experience in network operations with an established energy company

Employment Requirements

  • A completed bachelor’s degree in Networking, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field
  • Reliable ability to commute to the client’s Charlotte office once client work begins
  • Ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Dev10 cannot support OPT, CPT, EAD, H-1B, TN, or similar paperwork; exceptions are limited to Asylees, Refugees, and TPS holders
