Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Help design control systems that keep manufacturing plants running safely and efficiently. As an Automation Engineer, you’ll work with customers in industries like Life Sciences, chemicals, oil & gas, and more to automate processes using Emerson’s DeltaV platform.

You’ll translate process requirements into software, test and implement your solutions, and see them come to life during plant startups. This role combines engineering know-how with hands-on problem solving—and we’ll train you on the tools and standards you’ll need.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and test process control systems
• Support system startup, operator training, and troubleshooting
• Work directly with customers to solve real-world problems
• Learn industry standards, instrumentation basics, and process automation tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology
• Interest in automation, controls, and manufacturing
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within IN, KY, OH, MI
