What You Can Expect
- Sit down with employees and stakeholders across different teams and have real conversations about how they get their work done
- Spot points of friction, delay, rework, or frustration in everyday processes
- Use the "Five Whys" technique to push past the first answer and get to the actual root cause of a problem
- Visually map out the current ("as-is") process — every step, handoff, and decision point
- Propose specific, practical improvements based on what you find
- Map out the improved ("to-be") process so the team can see exactly what's changing & why
- Present your findings back to the team in a clear, visual way
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in business, industrial/systems engineering, information systems, or a related field with an expected graduation date between Fall 2027 – Summer 2028
- Naturally curious — comfortable asking "why" repeatedly without it feeling like an interrogation
- Strong listener who can build quick trust with people at all levels, from frontline staff to managers
- Comfortable with ambiguity and unstructured problems; doesn't need a script to have a good conversation
- Able to turn a messy conversation into a clean, easy-to-follow diagram
- Organized and detail-oriented — little things (a skipped step, an extra approval) matter to this work
