We are currently looking for a Purchasing Strategy Intern to join our team in Franklin, TN. The Purchasing Strategy team supports a wide range of activities across Nissan Purchasing, including training and development, supplier relations, strategic initiatives, process improvement, and project coordination. The team also helps guide Purchasing's strategic direction by considering corporate strategy, industry trends, and external factors such as legal and regulatory changes. This internship provides broad exposure to Purchasing operations and offers the opportunity to contribute to projects that impact teams across the organization.
A Day in the Life:
Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of Purchasing training programs, including Core Purchasing Concepts, Basic Purchasing, and Strategic Purchasing.
Coordinate with Purchasing stakeholders to develop new training content and update existing learning materials.
Maintain training schedules and support the administration of training resources within SharePoint.
Assist with the ongoing Procedure SharePoint project by identifying process gaps and helping create or update procedural documentation.
Collaborate with Purchasing teams on supplier relations initiatives, communication projects, and strategic improvements, including enhancements to the Supplier Portal.

Required:
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Applied Engineering, Data Management, Contracting, Pre-Law, or a related field.
Students entering their Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Coachable with a willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and support multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
Ability to perform work onsite at Franklin, TN.
