We are currently looking for a Process Engineering Summer Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting production processes, quality investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working alongside production, maintenance, and quality teams, you will help identify and resolve manufacturing challenges while contributing to projects that improve equipment performance, process efficiency, and vehicle quality.

 

A Day in the Life:

Support daily production processes and investigate quality concerns within assigned manufacturing areas.

Lead a project focused on reducing downtime associated with high-capability torque tools.

Analyze equipment performance, quality data, and production metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to implement process improvements and resolve manufacturing issues.

Support process documentation updates, tooling improvements, and continuous improvement activities.

 

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.

Students entering their Junior, Senior, or Master's program at the start of the upcoming academic term.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively drive projects forward.

Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience working on automobiles, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, chassis components, or related technical projects is preferred.

Experience repairing mechanical equipment or completing mechanical, electrical, automotive, or home improvement projects is a plus.

GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)

Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.
