Position Summary:

The purpose is to provide meaningful professional experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Abbott hires students majoring in Engineering, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, and Life and Physical Sciences based on business need. Ideal candidates will combine technical with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.

Project types are also diverse and include but not limited to

• Data Analytics of manufacturing data

• Literature Reviews

• Analytical Testing

The Student Will Be Responsible For:

• Leading a project in collaboration with assignment manager
• Communicating findings and progress to assignment manager on a regular basis
• Delivering tangible outcomes and reporting findings to business leaders.

Qualifications: 

• Must be enrolled as a student at OSU and pursuing an ungraduated,  MS, or PhD degree
• Field of study in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or Life and Physical Sciences preferred
• Strong academic and demonstrated leadership potential
• Attention to detail, effective communicator, and excellent verbal/written English language skills
• Self-motivated problem-solver that can lead a project from beginning to end

Start Date/Duration: Summer Semester with potential to continue through Fall and Spring as part time
