Job Description

The Architecture Analysis Department researches, develops, and applies advanced technologies in the following Systems Engineering areas:

Model-Based System Architecting

Architecture Analysis

Digital Engineering Transformation

Architecture Analysis enables digital transformation by linking stakeholder needs, operational concepts, and engineering data into an integrated digital thread. The department applies model-based system architecting to define and evolve system structures, interfaces, behaviors, and dependencies for complex systems. The department also delivers architecture analysis through trade studies and assessments of performance, risk, and system interactions to support sound design and investment decisions.

Job Responsibilities

Support systems and mission engineering activities for complex government-sponsored systems and systems-of-systems.

Assist with analysis, modeling, and evaluation of system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and performance using modern engineering methods and tools.

Apply or gain experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, data analytics, and software development techniques.

Support the development of models, metrics, and analyses used to evaluate system alternatives, performance, interoperability, resiliency, and other key attributes.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams and contribute to project deliverables, technical documentation, and presentations.

Basic Qualifications

Must be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship.

Familiarity with a programming or technical computing language such as Python or MATLAB.

Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering (DE), or related systems modeling and architecture concepts.

U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government security clearance.

This position has an on-site requirement of 4 days a week minimum

Preferred Qualifications

Academic, project, or internship experience with systems engineering, analysis, modeling and simulation, software development, or a related technical area.

Coursework or project experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, mission engineering, or systems architecture.

Experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for data analysis, modeling, simulation, or automation.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$46,500 - $58,000 - $69,500 Annual
