Broadcast Systems Technician

40/29 the ABC affiliate in Rogers, AR is seeking a Broadcast Systems Technician (BST) to join our Technology team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working across a wide variety of systems, and supporting the technology that keeps television stations on the air.

What You'll DoMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast and IT systems to support reliable station operationsSupport live broadcasts and remote productions, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshootingExecute and improve preventative maintenance programsInstall, configure, and maintain:Managed network switchesServers and workstationsIP-based broadcast systemsProduction and routing equipmentProvide technical support to News, Production, Creative Services, Sales, and Administration teamsTravel as needed to transmitter sites, remote locations, and live event venuesDocument systems, workflows, and technical proceduresCollaborate with Engineering and IT teams on system upgrades and new technology deploymentsSupport GatesAir transmitters and satellite systems

What We're Looking For

ExperienceExperience with managed network switches and IP-based systemsUnderstanding of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, and LAN/WAN environmentsExperience supporting servers, workstations, and network infrastructureFamiliarity with broadcast equipment and live production environmentsExperience with Windows desktop and server operating systemsKnowledge of RF, transmitter, or satellite systems is a plusCisco, VMware, Microsoft, or related certificationsSBE certificationMilitary communications or technical training backgroundAV, IT support, or systems integration experienceWe also encourage technically skilled candidates who are eager to learn broadcast systems and engineering workflows to apply.

This position involves a structured rotating schedule that may include:Early morningsEveningsWeekendsThe rotation is designed to provide balanced operational coverage while giving team members exposure to all aspects of station operations.
