Video Content Creator

About Keytos

Keytos is an innovation-driven cybersecurity company reshaping identity security for modern enterprises. We build user-friendly tools that make strong security easier to deploy and manage.

After five years of transforming cybersecurity, we are also expanding into a new stealth health-and-fitness venture with an ambitious goal: to prevent every avoidable procedure and save every preventable life.

We believe technical topics do not have to be boring. Our content combines cybersecurity expertise, education, personality, and humor to make complicated ideas understandable and entertaining.

About the Role

Keytos is looking for a creative and technically curious Video Content Creator to help build the next generation of our YouTube and social media content.

This is not a behind-the-camera-only role. You will be one of the faces of Keytos and regularly appear in the videos you create.

You will own the content process from idea to finished video. You will research topics, develop concepts, write scripts, present on camera, coordinate filming, and work directly with our video editors to turn your ideas into polished content.

Our videos cover cybersecurity, technology, privacy, AI, identity security, experiments, product concepts, and whatever else we think our audience will find interesting.

We want someone who understands that a technically accurate video can still be funny, entertaining, and worth watching.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop ideas for YouTube videos, Shorts, and other social media content.
  • Research cybersecurity, technology, privacy, AI, and other technical topics.
  • Turn complicated technical concepts into clear and entertaining stories.
  • Write scripts, hooks, titles, outlines, and talking points.
  • Regularly appear on camera as a host and presenter.
  • Record videos independently and alongside other members of the Keytos team.
  • Work closely with video editors throughout the editing process.
  • Review edits and provide clear direction on pacing, graphics, jokes, technical accuracy, and storytelling.
  • Develop creative ways to demonstrate technical concepts instead of simply explaining them.
  • Interview engineers, cybersecurity experts, customers, interns, and other guests.
  • Help produce podcast episodes and turn longer content into Shorts and other clips.
  • Follow cybersecurity and technology trends and identify opportunities for timely content.
  • Experiment with new video formats and determine what resonates with our audience.
  • Use analytics such as retention, click-through rate, watch time, and engagement to improve future videos.
  • Help develop the personality, tone, and visual identity of Keytos content.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and company leadership to find interesting stories worth telling.
  • Occasionally create content around Keytos products while keeping the content useful and entertaining rather than turning every video into an advertisement.

Requirements

  1. Strong on-camera presence and comfort speaking naturally to an audience.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Strong storytelling ability and an understanding of what makes people want to keep watching.
  4. Ability to write scripts that sound natural when spoken rather than like corporate marketing copy.
  5. High level of creativity, curiosity, and ownership.
  6. Comfortable receiving feedback and rewriting or rerecording content when something does not work.
  7. Ability to research unfamiliar technical subjects and explain them accurately to a general audience.
  8. Strong interest in cybersecurity, technology, AI, privacy, or adjacent technical topics.
  9. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Ability to independently take a video from an initial idea through scripting, recording, editing coordination, and publication.
  11. Strong attention to detail, especially when communicating technical information.
  12. Willingness to experiment, make unusual content, and occasionally look ridiculous on the internet if it makes the video better.
  13. A proven record of creating things, whether through YouTube, TikTok, podcasts, filmmaking, journalism, comedy, student media, personal projects, or another creative outlet.
  14. You believe you would thrive in our culture.

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating YouTube videos, Shorts, TikToks, podcasts, or other digital content.
  • An existing portfolio, YouTube channel, social media account, or collection of videos where you appear on camera.
  • Experience writing scripts for video.
  • Experience interviewing people on camera or hosting a podcast.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as authentication, identity, certificates, PKI, RADIUS, phishing, or Zero Trust.
  • Technical background in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with cameras, microphones, lighting, and basic video production.
  • Basic video editing experience, even if you will primarily work with dedicated editors.
  • Experience using YouTube Analytics or other social media analytics.
  • Experience creating comedy, sketches, experiments, explainers, or documentary-style content.
  • Experience using AI tools as part of the research, writing, or production process.

Why Keytos

At Keytos, you will not be creating generic corporate videos that nobody wants to watch.

You will have significant creative freedom to experiment with formats, humor, technical demonstrations, interviews, challenges, and new ideas.

You will work directly with cybersecurity experts, engineers, founders, and our video editors, giving you access to technical knowledge that would be difficult to find at a traditional media company.

You will also have the opportunity to become a recognizable face of the Keytos brand and help define what our content looks and feels like as the audience grows.

We do not expect you to already be a cybersecurity expert. We do expect you to be curious enough to become one.

If you want to create entertaining videos, learn deeply technical subjects, experiment constantly, and have real ownership over a growing YouTube presence, we want to hear from you. (check out out YouTube channel to see what we do)
