Today we are hiring a Civil Designer in Ashville, NC.  The salary is from $50,000-$75,000 Yearly.

Working under general supervision, the Civil Designer collaborates with the Design Team and Project Managers to prepare conceptual site plans and construction drawings. This role involves managing land development projects ranging from small plots (under 1 acre) to large-scale developments (100+ acres) using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.(Required Skills)

Key Responsibilities:
Design & Drafting: Prepare construction drawings, site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and pump/piping plans.
Data Analysis: Research and interpret field notes, engineering drawings, digital redlines, and survey information to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
Project Research: Obtain record information from public utilities; research zoning maps and parcel data for water, sewer, and storm drainage specifications.

Data Capture: Capture and verify as-built project data from GIS public domain websites, field mark-ups, and architectural data.
Collaboration: Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, inspectors, and external customers to meet project requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Post-high school education preferred.
Experience: Proven civil design experience in site planning, land development, and water/sewer projects.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
Soft Skills: Ability to work independently within a high-functioning team environment and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
