Intern, Digital Product Management (Platforms & Guest Experience)

The 2027 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering Corporate, Field, and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center and Field interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides real-world experience directly related to academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.

TEAM OVERVIEW

Be part of a Digital Product Management team responsible for shaping the platforms and experiences that power Ulta Beauty's digital ecosystem. The team leads product strategy and delivery across capabilities such as Content Management, Digital Asset Management, Commerce, and guest-facing digital experiences. Working closely with Technology, UX, Design, Merchandising, Marketing, and other business partners, the team identifies opportunities, defines product capabilities, and delivers scalable solutions that make it easier for teams to operate while creating seamless and engaging experiences for Ulta Beauty guests.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:

• Support product discovery and help identify guest and business problems across digital experiences and platforms.

• Assist with documenting product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

• Conduct competitive, industry, and platform research related to CMS, DAM, Commerce, and digital guest experiences.

• Partner with Product, UX, Design, Technology, Merchandising, Marketing, and other teams to support product initiatives.

• Help evaluate current processes and platform capabilities and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, or improved ways of working.

• Support prioritization and roadmap discussions by organizing requirements, dependencies, risks, and expected business and guest value.

• Participate in product ceremonies, working sessions, demonstrations, and stakeholder reviews.

• Use data and guest insights to help assess opportunities and measure outcomes.

• Maintain clear product documentation and prepare recommendations or presentations for stakeholders.

• Own a defined internship project and present findings and recommendations as part of the capstone.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

• Interest in digital product management, eCommerce, technology, or guest/customer experience.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work collaboratively across teams.

• Curiosity about how digital products and platforms support business and guest needs.

• Familiarity with digital products, analytics, UX, eCommerce, or Agile concepts through coursework, projects, internships, or other experiences is a plus, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2027.

• Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and pay close attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a sense of urgency and willingness to learn.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Previous work experience, coursework, projects, internships, or involvement in campus organizations is a plus.
