Summer 2027 Quality Regulatory Compliance (QRC) Internship

 

Location: Hershey, PA | Duration: Summer 2027 | Work Environment: Corporate, manufacturing plant, and virtual settings

Looking for a summer internship where you can build real-world experience, solve meaningful problems, and learn how quality and food safety come together inside a global snacking company? The Hershey Company is seeking a Summer 2027 intern to support Food Safety and Quality projects that make a direct impact on our products, processes, and consumers. This role is a great fit for a curious, detail-oriented college student who enjoys data, problem solving, collaboration, and learning in both office and manufacturing environments.

 

What You’ll Get to Experience

Food Safety and Quality Projects May Include:

  • Supporting root cause analysis for food safety or quality failures
  • Developing FMEAs for specific manufacturing processes
  • Leading or supporting Food Safety and Quality improvement projects
  • Partnering on innovation and capacity expansion projects
  • Creating or updating product, process, or quality specifications
  • Mapping processes to improve reliability and consistency
  • Gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to support business decisions
  • Evaluating updating software applications and digital tools
  • Developing training materials for teams
  • Supporting corrective and preventive action planning
  • Managing an individual project while collaborating with Quality Specialists and cross-functional partners

Skills That Will Help You Succeed

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel
  • Interest in SAP, Microsoft Power BI, data analysis, or digital tools
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate with people at different levels of the organization
  • Leadership potential, curiosity, and a willingness to ask questions and challenge the status quo
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites in the United States, if needed
  • Ability to work independently after receiving direction
  • Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) while working in production

Who Should Apply

  • Current college student pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Preferred majors include food science, food law and regulation, nutrition science, chemistry, biology, mechanical engineering, or a similar Supply Chain discipline
  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.8 required; 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Reliable transportation
