Electrical Engineer – Full Time Entry Level

We are looking for full-time, entry-level engineers to perform Electrical Power design, analysis, and construction support for technically challenging industrial projects. Applicable Interests:
- Strong academic performance in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program (a minimum of 3.3 is required for consideration).
- Experience/coursework and interest in high, medium, and low voltage systems and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) to engineering designs.
- Interest in working on a variety of projects for clients, gradually progressing in technical complexity and professional responsibility.
- Willingness to complete FE exam before or at the time of hire.
You will work with experienced engineers to learn the following skills:
- Analyze power distribution systems for large industrial customers for short-circuit (Arc Flash) hazards and breaker coordination studies using Arc Flash analysis software.
- Select power equipment such as starters, VFD’s, motor control centers, switchgear, substations, emergency generators, UPS’s, grounding systems, and lighting systems.
- Develop single line drawings in AutoCAD. Model equipment in 3D.
- Identify, document, and assess electrical equipment, capacity, and key electrical attributes, both in the office, and on site visits.
- Size feeders and conduit for a variety of loads.
- Design emergency power, back-up power, and life-safety systems.
- Research and interpret codes and standards.
- Configure communications, data, and other building systems, including fire alarm, PA, intercom, telephone, and data.
- Start up and commission equipment.
- Meet with clients, contractors, and colleagues throughout the design and construction process. Build and maintain long-term relationships.
This position provides an opportunity for periodic project-related travel.
