This position is based in Budd Lake, NJ, home to Keysight's Electronic Industrial Solutions Group, which designs, manufactures, and markets Keysight’s power supply solutions — ranging from multi-kilowatt switching supplies and AC sources to 30kW regenerative power solutions, solar array simulators, and AC grid emulators up to 1MW.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest and skill set in power electronics, switching-converter design, analog design, control systems, and digital signal processing, plus embedded programming; HDL skills are a plus.
You'll work alongside a mentor on new Keysight programmable power supplies, with work spanning switching-converter topology development, feedback-control design, circuit/system simulation, FPGA/HDL implementation, prototype bring-up, and high-power testing and debugging using advanced measurement and simulation tools.
Ideal Qualifications include:
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering – graduation must be completed by December 2026 or May 2027, with a strong preference for December 2026 graduates.
• Able to work on-site daily in Budd Lake, NJ.
• At least one undergraduate course each in power electronics and control systems.
• A strong fundamental skill set in continuous and discrete signals and systems.
• Analog design skills, including experience in both time and frequency domain measurements.
• Familiarity with power supplies and electronic measurement devices.
Highly desirable EE coursework - completion of one or more of the following:
• Power Electronics
• Fundamentals of Digital Signal Processing
• Introduction to Linear Control Systems (analog controls)
• Introduction to Digital Control Systems
• Analog design: Electronic Circuit Design I, Electronic Circuit Design II, and Linear Electronic Design, or equivalent coursework.
Additional desirable skills include:
• Ability to model systems using MATLAB and circuit-simulation tools such as Saber.
• Experience coding, simulating, testing, and debugging HDL designs.
• Strong Python programming skills, with the ability to write clear, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple design domains, including firmware, gateware, and analog/digital hardware.

Pay is based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.
NJ pay range: MIN $76k - MAX $128k
