Electrical Engineering Co-op

This Electrical Engineering Co-op will support the Electrical Engineering department on daily projects and take on more involved projects as they present themselves. They may include projects on the factory floor, test labs and/or the office and range from basic wiring to electronics.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Testing of new products such as fans, relays, lights, controls, etc.
  • Wire Harness Department support.
  • PCB design - building part libraries.
  • Build electrical test area - fixture building, components and organization, test equipment setup, leads, switches, supplies, etc.
  • Build electronic control fixtures used for training and testing new product offerings.
  • Miscellaneous test fixtures such as calibration, production lines, sub-assembly, foam jigs, etc.
  • PCNs - electrical standardizations, LEDs and drivers to next gen.
  • Evaluate new and existing LED luminaires for major customer specific projects.
  • Regular and reliable attendance in the office is required.

Qualifications

  • Full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field required.
  • Previous experience in an electrical and/or electronics field is a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate professionally.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.

The duration of this co-op is January to August, 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
