About the Role

Raglan is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Electrical & Computer Engineer with an interest in vehicle systems to join our growing engineering team. This role is well-suited for recent graduates or junior engineers seeking hands-on experience in designing, testing, and integrating electrical and electronic systems for vehicles.

You’ll work closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to support the development of reliable, real-world hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical and electronic systems for vehicles and mobile platforms
  • Assist with schematic capture, PCB design, and component selection
  • Support integration of sensors, actuators, power systems, and communication interfaces
  • Help diagnose, debug, and resolve electrical issues during prototyping and testing
  • Participate in vehicle-level testing and validation
  • Document designs, test results, and engineering changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field (or near completion)
  • Strong foundational understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, and embedded systems
  • Interest in vehicle systems (automotive, off-road, robotics, EVs, or similar)
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Safety-oriented person comfortable working around high-voltage vehicle systems
  • Willingness to learn and work hands-on with hardware

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Internship, project, or co-op experience involving vehicles or mobile systems
  • Familiarity with embedded systems or microcontrollers
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I²C, or similar communication protocols
  • Basic PCB design experience (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, etc.)
  • Basic skills in data analysis tools (Excel, MATLAB)
  • Exposure to power electronics, batteries, or vehicle electrical architectures
  • Experience working in a lab, shop, or test environment
