Financial Analyst Intern

About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to support financial analysis, investment research, business modeling, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in financial markets, investments, and quantitative analysis. You will work with financial and market data, build analytical models, conduct research, and prepare insights to support business and investment decisions.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in finance and analytical research in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

* Analyze financial statements, company performance, market data, and industry trends

* Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and analytical spreadsheets

* Conduct company, industry, competitor, and market research

* Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, valuation, and operating metrics

* Develop and track key financial and business performance indicators

* Support investment and financial research projects

* Prepare financial analysis, reports, presentations, and investment summaries

* Collect, clean, and analyze financial and market datasets

* Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis

* Identify trends, risks, and potential investment or business opportunities

* Assist with ad hoc financial and analytical projects requested by management

* Collaborate with research, finance, and business teams

Qualifications

Required

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

* Strong quantitative and analytical skills

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial data

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to conduct independent research and synthesize information

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Preferred

* Knowledge of financial markets, equity investing, or investment research

* Experience with financial modeling and valuation

* Familiarity with Python, SQL, R, Tableau, or Power BI

* Coursework in corporate finance, investments, financial modeling, statistics, or econometrics

* Previous internship or project experience in finance, investment research, consulting, or data analytics

* Experience working with Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Yahoo Finance, or other financial data sources
