We are looking for two (2) GIS Specialists who want to leverage spatial data, IoT technology, and cutting-edge platforms to solve real-world urban infrastructure challenges. Whether you want to optimize real-time smart fleet routing or safeguard LA's water future, your work here directly impacts millions of Angelenos every single day.

 

Choose Your Impact: 2 Roles Available

1. Smart Fleet Tech & Real-Time IoT Routing (Downtown LA)

The Mission: Support city-wide refuse collection fleet routing and integrate real-time Internet of Things (IoT) tracking across 600 square miles.

The Tech: Connect collection vehicle telematics platforms directly with ESRI GeoEvent systems to streamline operations and cut emissions.

 

2. Clean Water Infrastructure & Asset Management (Glassell Park Area)

The Mission: Support spatial planning and operations for LA’s world-class Clean Water programs and water reclamation network .

The Tech: Help implement and manage a brand-new Enterprise Asset Management System to modernize critical environmental infrastructure.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience: Degree coursework and hands-on experience in GIS, Geography, Geographic Information Science, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.

Proficiency with ESRI software suite (ArcGIS Pro, GeoEvent Server, Enterprise GIS) and spatial data analysis.

Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and communication skills.
