Construction Inspector

A&Z Engineering. LLC is seeking individuals to join their growing inspection crew. Internship and full-time positions are available. Our firm provides services for local, state, and private clients. Individuals selected to be part of our team should expect to gain hands-on experience on a variety of projects. Moreover, he/she will be part of a dynamic team and company that supports a healthy work-life balance.  

Construction inspectors and resident project representatives (RPR) provide construction inspection services for a variety of transportation projects. The work will be a combination of work in the field and in the office. 

A&Z Engineering's home office is located in Fort Wayne, IN, but we have positions available in various locations throughout northern Indiana. Most of our work is scattered in the vicinity of northern and central Indiana.

·        Employment Type: Full Time

·        Location: Northern Indiana, multiple locations

·        Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

o  Monitor construction activities to ensure contract and specification adherence

o  Maintain detailed, accurate daily logs/reports of observations and test results

o  Perform field measurements and materials testing

o  Observe testing and review test results

o  Identify discrepancies

o  Participate in pre-construction meetings, punch list creation

o  Create and submit final records

o  Meet deadlines

o  Coordinate construction and inspection services in cooperation with contractors, local/state agencies, subconsultants, and other stakeholders

o  Build positive working relationships with project stakeholders and communicate clearly with all individuals.

·        Qualifications:

Required:

o  High school diploma/ GED

o  Active driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred: A&Z Engineering, LLC. will provide training for hard-working individuals who contribute to our positive culture.

o  College credit/ degree in civil or construction engineering

o  Construction experience
