Job Title: Mechanical/Structural Engineer – Consumer Electronics & MicroLED Display Modules

The Role:
We are seeking talented Mechanical/Structural Engineers to join our R&D teams working on consumer electronics (headphones, smart glasses, AR/VR wearables) and microLED display modules. You will be involved in the full product lifecycle from concept to mass production, covering structural design, thermal management, and optical-mechanical integration. Multiple openings available across four specializations.
Open Specializations:
Direction 1: Structural R&D (Consumer Electronics) – Qingdao/Vietnam
Lead structural design and validation for consumer audio/wearable products throughout the entire product lifecycle (concept to mass production).
Conduct competitive product structure analysis and participate in design reviews.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings based on product ID; manage detailed component-level design.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams on FDM discussions, prototype sampling, and assembly validation.
Work with suppliers on component quality standards and validation criteria.
Requirement: Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, or related fields; proficiency in Creo/ProE and AutoCAD.
Direction 2: Structural & Thermal Management (MicroLED Modules) – Jinan/Shanghai
Design mechanical structures for microLED display modules, including substrate mounting, driver packaging, and optical component support frames.
Optimize module size and weight to meet customer specifications.
Develop thermal management solutions to control microLED chip and driver circuit temperatures.
Perform thermal simulation and analysis (Ansys, etc.) to optimize heat distribution and extend product lifetime.
Design mechanical test fixtures for microLED lighting and validation.
Prepare design drawings, assembly instructions, test reports, and specifications.
Track industry trends and propose innovative mechanical design solutions.
Author patents and technical papers.
Requirement: Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields; proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD and thermal simulation tools (Ansys, etc.); experience with microLED/MiniLED/AMOLED module design or semiconductor/FPD processes is a strong plus.
Direction 3: Optical-Mechanical Integration (Optical Modules) – Qingdao/Weifang
Conduct design feasibility assessments based on customer requirements; collaborate with optical engineers on module design and structural optimization.
Develop and evaluate new products and processes.
Manage prototype fabrication, inspection, and assembly validation.
Participate in mold design review, schedule tracking, and sample inspections; develop mold modification plans.
Document trial production issues, conduct failure analysis, and implement improvement plans.
Manage part number applications, BOM creation, and PLM workflows.
Support pre-production sample assembly, DOE validation, and related issue resolution.
Requirement: Familiar with electronics product development (BOM, 2D/3D drawing, reliability); proficiency in 3D design software and AutoCAD; experience in ophthalmic optics or eyewear research is a plus; fluent English required.
Direction 4: Acoustic-Mechanical Integration – Weifang
Participate in acoustic product requirement analysis and overall product architecture design.
Design and improve mechanical structures for acoustic products; resolve issues from development through mass production.
Collaborate with industrial designers on product aesthetics and with hardware/EE engineers on PCB layout and integration.
Requirement: Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields; proficiency in structural design software; strong cross-functional communication skills.
Qualifications (General):
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics, Automation, Physics, or related fields.
Proficiency in mechanical design software (Creo/ProE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
Strong understanding of tolerance analysis, manufacturing processes, and design-for-manufacturability (DFM).
Excellent problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
Fluent in English (preferred for Direction 3).
