Job Summary
De Nora is seeking highly motivated students to fill a co-op position in its Environmental Health and Safety Department at the De Nora Tech Manufacturing Plant located in Mentor, Ohio. The primary focus for this position is to ensure De Nora Tech provides a safe workplace and complies with all OSHA, EPA and local regulatory agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Data entry for incidents incurred in the plant. To include information to be transplanted in the dashboard report, the tracking database and to aid in filling out the form mandated for use by DNI to assess severity of individual incidents.
- Embrace and emulate our goal of a “zero incident” safety culture to eliminate unsafe conditions and protect the people and interests of De Nora.
- Attend and assist in all safety committee activities, including follow up on needed resources or corrective actions.
- Assist in weekly housekeeping inspection and in writing and distributing the report for review.
- Aid in revision, rewriting and complete recreation of lockout/tagout procedures. Aid in completing comprehensive review to ensure all required equipment is captured in the lockout procedures.
- Aid in updating and maintaining all written OSHA safety programs and all environmental programs to comply with state and federal rules.
Qualifications:
- Students seeking a B.S. in the Engineering, Environmental, Chemical, Biological Sciences, or related field.
- Safety first attitude.
