Laboratory Technician
Perform routine and advanced laboratory tests on samples using established scientific methods, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Prepare, label, and process samples including measuring, diluting, mixing reagents, and documenting all steps to maintain traceability and quality control.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, pipettes, incubators, and analytical instruments, reporting malfunctions and performing basic troubleshooting.
Record, analyze, and interpret test results with precision, entering data into laboratory information systems (LIMS) and generating reports for supervisors, quality teams, or regulatory review.
Follow strict safety, sanitation, and compliance protocols including PPE usage, chemical handling procedures, waste disposal, and adherence to OSHA, GMP, GLP, or ISO standards depending on the environment.
Maintain inventory of lab supplies by tracking reagent levels, ordering materials, and ensuring all chemicals and consumables are properly stored and documented.
Assist in method development and process improvements by identifying inconsistencies, suggesting workflow enhancements, and supporting validation or calibration studies.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including quality assurance, production, engineering, or research staff to support testing needs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely project completion.
Document all laboratory activities including test procedures, deviations, equipment logs, and corrective actions to maintain audit‑ready records.
