Associate Manufacturing Engineer
Job Overview
We are currently looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team onsite in Bruce, MS. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Overtime as business needs.
As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist senior engineers in the design, construction, and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and systems. Responsibilities include performing routine tasks, learning company procedures, and developing a foundational understanding of engineering principles. This role offers the opportunity to learn new skills, take ownership of processes, and drive improvements that make operations safer and more efficient for team members. Involvement includes supporting capital expenditure projects, new product introductions, and lean manufacturing initiatives, with an emphasis on leveraging technology to enhance plant KPIs and overall performance.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Packaging or equivalent.
- Education Equivalency (if no completed bachelor's level degree):
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Packaging or equivalent plus 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma plus 4 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience:
- No professional experience required with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Packaging or equivalent.
Additionally:
- Ability to work in Bruce, MS, without relocation assistance.
- Willing and able to travel up to 10 percent of the time.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with powder paint, assembly, welding and/or sewing.
- Experience with AutoCad.
- Electrical experience.
- Experience with technology: cameras, PLC's and/or robotics.
- Experience with Kaizen and/or Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Advanced experience with welding.
Essential Functions
- Provide support in preparing basic engineering documentation, such as Enterprise Change Management (ECMs) and Request for Expenditures (RFEs), under guidance.
- Assist other engineers in analyzing product and manufacturing designs to identify potential solutions.
- Climb/bend/balance/twist/reach/lift.
- Lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Perform standardized manufacturing tests and document results under supervision. and regulations.
- Develop a foundational understanding of industry standards and best practices in manufacturing materials and regulations.
- Learn and assist in implementing basic manufacturing processes, including material handling and documentation.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to gain exposure to manufacturing integration processes.
- Troubleshoot basic manufacturing issues in areas assigned and work alongside experienced engineers to implement corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
