Water/Wastewater (Environmental) Engineer (master's degree)

Are you a recent master's degree grad or graduating in the next 9 months and interested in serving tribal nations with safe drinking water and wastewater facilities?
Our entry-level engineers work alongside engineers of the Indian Health Service in the Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction on water, wastewater and solid waste engineering projects for tribes across the US.
Duties
- Performing planning, design, and construction oversight activities for community and individual water supply, wastewater, and solid waste facilities.
- Visiting tribal communities where projects are being planned and constructed.
- Reviewing work prepared by technical staff.
- Estimating costs and materials necessary to construct sanitation facilities.
- Preparing engineering technical reports and cost estimates
- Collaborating with tribal government and communities
- Conducting field work on tribal lands, including surveying, investigating malfunctioning water and sewer systems, and system testing
- Inspecting construction of water and wastewater facilities
Eligibility
- US Citizenship is absolutely required by law.
- Master’s degree in engineering; qualifying applicants must also hold a bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Must be graduated within 9 months of the closing of this job announcement.
- Must have a valid State driver's license.
- Must be able to pass security clearance.
