Your Role
Cordogan Clark is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our team in Aurora, IL. This role supports construction projects across the firm and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, design-build environment. This position is ideal for candidates with 2–3 years of general full-time experience who are looking to grow their career in construction and project delivery.
Specifics of Your Role:
- Assist Project Managers and senior staff with the coordination and execution of construction projects
- Support project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors
- Track project progress, schedules, and budgets
- Participate in site visits and assist with field coordination as needed
- Help ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope

Required Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of relevant full-time experience in construction or a related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of construction processes, methods, and documentation
- Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
