Safety Intern

Job Summary:
The Safety Intern will support the OHSE Manager by assisting with daily safety activities, compliance tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a student of early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management.    

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist with developing safety communications, posters, alerts, and awareness campaigns.
• Prepare and place Lockout/Tagout placards for all equipment.
• Evaluate and update all risk assessments for each area of operation.
• Prepare job hazard analysis for each Work Instruction.
o Review each Work Instruction and update any safety related items, based on the job hazard analysis.
• Embody the Company Values: Courage, Impact, Respect.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 
• Must be team-oriented and collaborative.  
• Strong interest in workplace safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
