STEM Camp Instructor – Coding, Game Dev & Robotics (Seasonal / Part-Time / Full-Time)
Location: iCode Mt. Pleasant (In-Person)
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time, Seasonal, Temporary
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 4:15 PM (Summer Camps + School Break Camps)

Are you passionate about technology and education? Do you enjoy coding, creating, or building cool tech projects? iCode Mt. Pleasant is looking for energetic, tech-savvy instructors to lead campers (ages 5–14) through fun, hands-on STEM experiences in coding, robotics, digital design, and game development.

This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a high-energy camp environment, enjoy working with kids all day, and can create an engaging, structured, and fun experience from morning drop-off to afternoon pick-up. We provide training and a supportive team atmosphere.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-day STEM camps, guiding students through structured, hands-on tech projects
  • Teach engaging lessons using iCode’s curriculum in:
    • Coding (Scratch, Python, HTML, JavaScript)
    • Game design (GameMaker, Unity)
    • Robotics (VEX, Snap Circuits)
    • Digital creativity (3D printing, video production, mobile apps)
  • Keep campers engaged, on-task, and excited throughout the day
  • Supervise campers during transitions, breaks, and activities
  • Create a fun, safe, and inclusive camp environment
  • Track student progress and provide end-of-week updates to parents
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors to ensure smooth daily camp operations
  • Maintain classroom organization, materials, and equipment

Who You Are

  • Excited about technology and working with kids in a camp setting
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
  • Energetic, patient, and comfortable leading groups of children independently
  • Friendly, professional, and a strong communicator
  • Tech-savvy (experience with Scratch, Python, Roblox Studio, or similar is a plus)
  • Able to manage a full day (8:45–4:15) with enthusiasm and structure

Preferred (but not required):

  • Background in Computer Science, IT, Education, or related field
  • Experience working in camps, classrooms, or youth programs
  • Former iCode student or STEM club involvement
  • High school students may apply with strong tech skills and leadership experience
