Internship: Full Stack Developer (C# .Net Core and React) - Begin Your Career at Preferred Risk Insurance Services!

About Preferred Risk Insurance Services: We leverage technology and innovation to stay at the forefront of the insurance industry. We're offering an internship for a Full Stack Developer Intern skilled in C# .Net Core and React. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the front-end and back-end development of our progressive insurance applications, under guidance and mentorship.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing web applications using C# (.NET) and React.
  • Support the design and implementation of APIs and backend services.
  • Collaborate with team members to build and enhance application features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Help troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions to learn best practices.
  • Contribute to UI/UX implementation and front-end improvements.
  • Work with databases and data integration tasks.
  • Gain exposure to Agile development practices in a team environment.
  • Learn and support CI/CD and deployment processes.
  • Leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted and agent-based coding tools, to enhance productivity and development workflows

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of C#/.NET and/or JavaScript (React preferred).
  • Familiarity with web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, REST APIs).
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Exposure to relational databases (SQL) is a plus.
  • Interest in learning modern software development practices, including AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Familiarity with Git or version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with API tools (Postman, Swagger).
  • Understanding of agentic AI-driven development workflows and tools is a strong plus (e.g., multi-step code generation, task automation, or AI-assisted engineering workflows).
