Metal Stamp Supervisor
This position will be responsible for supervising, planning, operating and monitoring the activities of the Metal Stamping Industry in a production facility, with direct responsibility for planning, performance, production control, quality assurance, engineering, purchasing, budgeting, health and safety, specification and bid package development relevant to purchasing materials and equipment for the Metal Stamp operation. Responsibilities will also include supervision and training of Industries Specialists and Persons in our Care workers with instruction on production, equipment, data entry and processing, process and procedures, and work flow in a manufacturing environment. This position will utilize the current ERP, or MRP computer system for quality control, procedures, production manufacturing and production floor control, inventory control, receipts, and shop reports.
In addition, this position will manage internal and external communications, general office administration, health and safety plan development and administration, building maintenance, serving as department head to facilitate and coordinate with the institution to meet security goals, all in accordance with correctional security and BCE goals. The Correctional Enterprise Supervisor will demonstrate judgment and integrity, communicate effectively, be proactive, practice problem solving techniques, support continuous improvement, participate in day-to-day operations and promote accountability.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Shift: Monday- Friday 6:45am-3:15pm
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
- Supervising staff in a manufacturing and/or production facility (e.g. training, assigning duties, reviewing work, scheduling, shop management, etc.)
- Providing customer service (such as: resolving customer issues, documenting transactions, communicating expectations, etc.)
Performing production work in a manufacturing and/or production facility.
- Performing routine maintenance/troubleshooting machines used in a production facility.
- Utilizing computer applications such as ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
