Construction Inspector Intern
The City of Marysville is accepting applications for a Construction Inspector Intern for the 2026 Spring/Summer session!
The Construction Inspector internship position will provide exposure and useful experience while preparing the student for future professional employment in the field of Construction Management or Civil Engineering. This internship has the opportunity to begin as early as the Spring and carry through to the beginning of the next school term. The schedule for this position is 40-hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspects work within the City right-of-way, including driveways, sidewalks, etc.
- Assists with construction inspections for multiple public capital and private development projects.
- Works independently in dealing with contractors and the public ensuring both are in compliance with City specs throughout the inspection process
- Respond to inquiries and complaints; take messages; direct certain matters to a superior or to another appropriate authority for disposition; provide information regarding municipal services.
- Maintain data management system through the use of a personal computer/iPad for construction plans reports calculations etc.
- Other duties as assigned/required for the betterment of the Engineering Division/Public Service Department.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Currently enrolled (or planning to enroll) in an associate’s or bachelor's program in the field of Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
- Experience with GIS preferred
