Transportation Engineer 9-P11 (Mt. Pleasant TSC) - Bay Region

This is a multi-disciplinary position that functions as a general staff engineer.  Performs or participates in a variety of professional engineering responsibilities involving the Transportation Service Center (TSC) and Region functions of design, construction, maintenance, traffic and safety, soils, and materials control and testing of transportation facilities.  Assists with project scoping and estimating for maintenance and construction work, scoping and preparing projects for the call-for-projects (CFP) process, design plan preparation, utility coordination, and assists the TSC team in technical work.

The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (9) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (P11) level.  Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the Departmental Technician 10 position.

Required Education and Experience

Education

Possession of a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. 

Experience

Engineer 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Engineer 10

One year of professional experience providing electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering services equivalent to an Engineer 9.

Engineer P11

Two years of professional experience providing electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering services equivalent to an Engineer, including one year equivalent to an Engineer 10.
